Lux comfort and beautiful nature.
Gaya Island Resort is part of a protected nature reserve that’s filled with mangroves, rainforests, monkeys and coral reefs. Making a commitment to eco-friendly practices, the resort has her own conservation program, a Marine Centre that rescues turtles and preserves coral reefs in addition to only offering non-motorized activities. Intentionally built around the natural environment, this ensured the rainforest would stay intact (and monkeys swinging!) Some unique offerings include a separate beach alcove with hammocks overlooking the turquoise sea and a Spa Village with holistic treatments.
This series highlights the thoughtfully designed spaces around the resort, capturing both natural and built environments.
Gaya Island Resort is located on Malohom Bay in Sabah, Malaysia.
