Bali: Staying at Kupu Kupu Jimbaran

Quiet, spacious suites near white sand beaches.

After having such a wonderful stay at Kupu Kupu’s Ubud location (review here), my expectations were set high for my visit to Kupu Kupu Jimbaran. From rice paddy to the sea, it was just less than to 2 hours with some traffic.

The resort is located in Jimbaran, just south of Denpasar Airport and Kuta. Originally a fishing village, it’s a mix of local fishermen, seafood restaurants on the beach and luxury resorts. It’s also ideal for traveling to Uluwatu to see the sunset without having to stay too south.
During my stay, I was most impressed by the spacious suites. With each room being 2 stories, it feels like your own luxurious apartment while on vacation. The ground floor includes a living area and open air bathroom design with the upstairs having a king-sized bed with flowy drapes and a private balcony overlooking the infinity pool outside. Who doesn’t love lazy mornings, having breakfast in bed, surrounded by princess drapes? Less than 10 minutes from the beach, they offer buggy rides that take 2 minutes to get to their Beach Club on Jimbaran’s white sand beach. The menu includes mostly fresh seafood and tasty juice blends.
I didn’t get a massage at their L’Occitane Spa, but I was intrigued by the bamboo space. Look at that design!Ideal for those looking for a quiet, relaxing stay in the southern part of Bali, Kupu Kupu Jimbaran’s location is perfect.
